A graduate of Dublin School of Architecture DIT and registered RIAI architect, she holds a MA in History of Design (NCAD). Carole is RIAI Accredited in Conservation Grade III and works as an architectural researcher with particular interest in Irish C20th architecture. She teaches at Dublin School of Architecture DIT on the undergraduate Architecture degree course and as a tutor in Professional Diploma in Architectural Practice. She was President of the RIAI from 2016 – 2017. She continues this work as RIAI spokesperson on planning and urban environment.
