Conor Brady is a former editor of The Irish Times 1986-2005.  He was a member of the Garda Siochana Ombudsman Commission 2005-2011.  Conor also served as chair of the British-Irish Association 2003-8.  In 2016, he was appointed as a member of the Top Level Appointments Committee part of the selection process to senior civil servants. He has written several books which include: Guardians of the Peace(2000), Up With The Times(2005), as well as four acclaimed crime fiction novels, A June of Ordinary Murders, The Eloquence of the Dead, A Hunt in Winter, and earlier this year, In The Dark River. He is currently chair of Caliber Mediaworks Ltd and he serves on a number of other boards.
