Richard Pym

Chairman of Allied Irish Banks plc since 2014, he is a graduate physicist and a chartered accountant.  He has been both Chairman and Executive Director of a number of businesses in the banking and retailing sectors.   He previously worked with the UK Government on the management of their investment in failed financial institutions, when he was Chairman of UK Asset Resolution until 2016.  He is a registered student of the Open University, where he has been studying Arts and Humanities.
